Seniors Attend Leadership Conference at Paris Junior College
"Arik Bostick had a high energy that was really great and I had TONS of fun and learned a lot!" I say. This past Wednesday seven seniors attended a leadership conference at PJC in Paris. At the conference there was a motivational speaker named Aric Bostick. Along with several leadership activities, Bostick shared stories with us about his childhood troubles and things he himself had to overcome and stories about teens just like us that displayed extraordinary leadership skills. In between all the activities and stories, he would get everyone pumped up by doing the YMCA and other fun dances. By the end of the conference, every student was throwing their fist high in the air and screaming, "WOOOO!" The attending seniors were Jaime Formoso, Michelle Davila, Minerva Marquez, Jackie Blake, Royce Naylor, Joe Hill, and Ian Zeringue. Jackie said, "It was really fun to act crazy and meet new people." Jackie is pictured above doing one of the leadership activities with other seniors from many other area schools.
