Scholarship Amount: $2,500 a year OFF-CAMPUS housing scholarship, renewable for up to 4 years ($10,000)

Best Buy Scholarship
Deadline: February 15, 2008
Scholarship Amount: 1,500 @ $1,500 each and 51 @ $10,000 each
Details: Must be a graduating high school senior living in the United States or Puerto Rico, have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or an equivalent), demonstrate commitment to and involvement in volunteer community service or work experience, plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States or Puerto Rico no later than fall 2008. Ronald McDonald House Charities National Scholarship Program

Scholarship Amount: minimum of $1,000
Details: Applicants must be a currently enrolled high school senior, legal U.S. residents, less than 21 years of age. Applications are available at www.rmhc.org or in the Counselor’s office.
Burger King Scholarship Program
Deadline: February 15, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Details: Students must work part-time an average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and demonstrate participation in community service and/or co-curricular activities. Apply online at www.bk.com/scholars
Myra Hasty & Dr. Pat McLeod Scholarships
Deadline: March 7, 2008
Scholarship Amount: 10 @ $1,000
Details: Applications must be received by March 7 (not post-marked by). Senior students who are completing at least 3 credits of career and technical education are eligible to apply (Ag, FCS, computer). Applications are available in the counselor’s office.
TESA Scholarship Award
Deadline: March 7, 2008
Scholarship Amount: 6 @ $1,250 for 4 years ($5,000 total for each)
Details: Sponsored by the Texas Elks State Association. Students in the top 5% of their graduating class are NOT eligible for this award. Applicants will be judged on financial need, scholarship, leadership/extracurricular activities and strength of character.
Graham Johnson Scholarship
Deadline: March 14, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $500
Details: Applicant must be planning to attend A&M-Commerece and have a minimum of 20 on ACT or 920 on SAT. Must be majoring in Accounting, Economics/Finance, Management Information Systems, General Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, or Management.
Alliance Bank Educational Scholarship Program
Deadline: March 15, 1008
Scholarship Amount: $2,000 (may be renewed at the same amount for an additional three years)
Details: Must plan to enroll full time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school. Applications are available in the counselor's office.
Texas Farm Bureau Agriculture Research and Education Scholarship
Deadline: March 17, 2008
Scholarship Amount: 2 @ $1000 per year
Details: Must be a graduating high school senior entering college in Fall 2008. Parents must have been Farm Bureau members since at least March 14, 2006. Scholarship will be awarded based on grades/GPA, test scores, extracurricular activities, family financial need and potential to succeed in post-secondary educational goals. Young Farmer & Rancher Scholarships

Scholarship Amount: 13 @ $1000 ($500 per semester for two semesters)

Texas Trial Lawyers Scholarship Application
Deadline: March 20, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Details: This scholarship is dedicated to assisting student who have proven the ability to do college level work, yet may not be able to obtain financial aid through traditional sources. Applications are available at www.ttla.com
PJC Presidential Scholarship
Deadline: March 24, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $2,000 per year (may be awarded the 2nd year by maintaining a 3.5 GPA)
Details: Applicant must have a minimum ACT composite score of 25 (or a minimum combined SAT score of 1,150) and rank in the upper quarter of their graduating class.

Northeast Texas Livestock Association Scholarship
Deadline: March 30, 2008
Scholarship Amount: minimum of $500
Details: Applicant must be a high school senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicant must have participated in the NELTA Junior Market Show or NELTA Junior Dairy Show for at least two years. Applications are available in the counselor’s office.
Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $1,000 ($500 per semester)
Details: For students going into a healthcare field. Awarded based on academic achievement, sitizenship, and personal goals. Applications are availablein the counselor's office.
The City National Bank Memorial Scholarship in Memory of Sally Gilmore
Deadline: April 11, 2008
Scholarship Amount: $3,500 ($1,750 per semester)
Details: Must attend a State accredited Community College, Junior College, College or University within the State of Texas. Must have maintained GPA of 3.0 or higher on both citizenship and academic subjects. Applications are available in the counselor's office or at The City National Bank in Sulphur Springs.
Paris Junior College

Details: The PJC General Scholarship Application is available in the counseling office. Completing this one application allows the student to apply for 27 PJC scholarships.
Hopkins County Professional Agriculture Workers Association Scholarship

Professional Land Title Company Frankie and Glenna Jo Price Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $150
Details: Graduating Senior who plans to attend a state accredited junior college, college, or university in the fall of 2008. Applications are available in the counselor's office or from their office at 106 College Street in Sulphur Springs.
Jim Holland Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: 2 @ $1,000
Details: The Hopkins County Manufacturers Association Jim Holland Memorial Scholarship will award two county students $1,000 each for their first year at a Texas college or university. Recipient’s course of study is to be directed toward securing a degree in the field of business. Applications are available in the counselor’s office.
