5th & 6th Discipline Policy

Discipline Plan for 5th/6th Grades

Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Weeks expect everyone to put forth their best effort, whether it’s being kind, cooperating, being honest, being respectful or doing their classwork or homework. Classroom rules will be discussed during the first day and first week of school in each individual room.

Homework Not Finished or Folder/Reports Not Signed will result in a loss of P.E./Athletics.

Behavior Discipline Punishment (in a nine-week period.)

Write-ups can be from either teacher.

First write-up:              Mark on your discipline sheet.            1 day lunch detention

Second write-up:          Mark on your discipline sheet.            1 day lunch detention/ 1 recess

Third write-up:            Mark on your discipline sheet.            2 days lunch detention/ 2 recess

Fourth write-up:           Mark on your discipline sheet.            3 days lunch detention/ 2 recess

Fifth write-up:              Mark on your discipline sheet.            After school detention, parent called

Anything past five will result in an office referral and a parent conference.  

Discipline sheets will be sent home each Friday for parent signatures.

Rewards

Students who have 2 write-ups or less on their weekly discipline sheets AND who have not been punished with detention (after school) or I.S.S. will be treated to a movie and popcorn at the end of each nine weeks. (subject to teachers’ discretion)

** Students who receive more than 10 lunch detentions, or 3 after school detentions or 2 trips to ISS will NOT be eligible for ANY Field Trips.
